Spring is coming up, which means lots of tours and music festivals are being announced.
Those of us that love music want to go to all of them, but for some of us, it’s not our scene. I know it’s not my thing! Out in the heat, reapplying sunblock and bug spray every hour, not to mention my pollen allergy.
If you’re looking for a music festival that you can attend from home, look no further!
The second annual Couchella Fest is coming to a couch near you in April 2020! Couchella is the festival that you can enjoy wherever you want. So, RSVP, get in your comfiest clothes and get ready for some great new music!
I founded Couchella on a whim last year, in an attempt to bring independent artists together and bring independent music to music lovers all over the world. Last year, we had artists play the festival such as Welcome Home Magazine featured artist Emily Brophy, Grammy Award Winner Larry Mitchell, and myself, Abby Miracle, to name a few. I decided upon its creation that since we weren’t charging a cover for this worldwide event, that we should take up donations for a good cause and donate our t-shirt sales to them as well. That cause is MyMusicRx.
MyMusicRx is a flagship program of the Children’s Cancer Association and brings music and music lessons to hospitalized children with cancer and other illnesses that leave them in bed for most of their days. Musicians visit the children, play some songs for them, and teach them how to play instruments. Sometimes, music artists will even come to visit the kids and give them a private concert.
There will be Couchella 2020 souvenir t-shirts sold and donations taken up at the time of the festival. All donated funds and t-shirt profits will be donated to MyMusicRx at the end of the festival to help buy the kids new instruments and whatever else MyMusicRx might need funds for, to be able to remain as a running program for many years to come.
