REVIEW: Donna Missal Show

Donna Missal entered the stage in Louisville full of energy and emotion. She began with a passionate intro of “Don’t Say Goodnight” then kept up the passion and energy with hits such as “Driving” and “Keep Lying." From moving all around the stage, constantly flipping her hair, jumping around, and even laying on the stage at times, Donna Missal’s energy while performing is insane.

Donna had such an incredible connection with the crowd. At one point she said that it felt like she had sent out a mass group text to all of her friends saying to come out to her karaoke night, and they all showed up. Towards the end of the show, she just sat down on the edge of the stage and gave a beautiful and intimate performance of “Skyline." There was no barricade at this show so that made this performance, and the show itself, way more intimate. Throughout the entire night, Donna was making eye contact with fans, grabbing their hands, and even talking to them. There was a group of about 5 or so girls who were all wearing matching homemade bright orange shirts that said “In Donna We Stan," along with many lyrics. You could tell that these girls had seen Donna perform multiple times before. The crowd was very energetic, especially for it to have been Donna’s first time performing in Louisville. After the show, Donna even hung out by the merchandise table and met all of the fans.

Donna gave multiple empowering speeches to the crowd, in one of which she encouraged the crowd to embrace self-love and confidence. She encouraged everyone in the crowd to love themselves as well as everyone around them. Before her performance of “Girl,” she gave another speech where she basically encouraged girls to be nice to each other and stop tearing each other down. Donna mentioned multiple times how she is going to use her platform and her voice to make as much of a difference in the world as she can. You can tell that Donna truly enjoys what she does and puts every ounce of her heart and soul into it. If you ever get the chance, go see Donna Missal perform. You will not regret it.
